TribaLog is the result of a discussion on the Adivasi Friends Group on Orkut. Concerns were raised over bad press coverage of tribal issues. We realized that we had a pretty large group of tribal youth connected on Orkut and we had many stories to tell. The result of that discussion is this space. It is our hope to make this blog a place where we can hold a dialogue within the great indigenous community of the Chottanagpur region as well as with India and the rest of the world.
The name of the blog, was decided through a poll on Orkut. Tribalog was chosen because as Sameer said, "log in hindi means people..........in english it means keeping record.....which best symbolises what is the mission of the said site..."
